The Arc’s National Center on Criminal Justice and Disability (or NCCJD) has been advocating with and for people with IDD for over the past eight years to bring a deep understanding about disability culture and issues to the criminal justice community. This presentation will provide an update on the latest research involving both victims and inmates with IDD, an overview of the Center’s current work (including the Pathways to Justice training), and ways individuals, chapters and others can get involved.
