Communication Needs and Rights for People with Intellectual Disabilities sponsored by Services for People with Disabilities (SFPD)

Individuals with intellectual disabilities often have complex communication needs. Allison Liwanag is a speech-language pathologist and will be presenting on what communicating may be like for them, and how we as their family, caregivers, and the professionals serving them can be more competent communication partners. We will discuss the Communication Bill of Rights and strategies that can foster and support their communication needs.
