Dementia and Behavior Changes in Down syndrome; There’s help out there.

January 18, 2022 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Alzheimer Biomarker Consortium – Down Syndrome

Washington University School of Medicine St. Louis Webinar

It is believed that individuals with Down Syndrome are at a higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease and showing symptoms of dementia earlier than the general population.  The chromosome 21 has the gene that helps develop protein deposits in the brain so an extra chromosome 21 augments the production in Down Syndrome.   Please attend this lecture by Dr. Beau Ances and Dr. John Constantino about changes in behavior and thinking in individuals with Down Syndrome.
