Advocates Fighting for Healthcare Access in WA and AL

You might have seen the reports coming out of Washington state and Alabama about the issue of equal access to healthcare for people with disabilities.  We sent a letter today to Governor Pritzker, calling on him to make a strong statement in support of the rights of people with disabilities in Illinois to have equity in access to critical healthcare supports during this public health crisis.  We will not let this happen in Illinois!  We all need to be vigilant to ensure that not only does the administration explicitly prohibit this in Illinois, but that informally on the ground and across the state people with disabilities will receive quality care.  

The Arc of the United States in conjunction with national and state advocates had done the following:
